An Invitation to Spring

These are some pictures I took of the blooming trees around here. This is one of my favorite times of the year." An Invitation to Spring". The day started out rainy and ended up with a beautiful bule sky covered with large white puffy clouds. The bees have been put in place and they were buzzing around hard at work.

On the Tractor with Dad

The other day Roger and Joey were out working on the garden and "the cottage" :) We had to dig some trenches to lay pipe so my mom and dad can have water to their cottage and water pipe going out to different parts of the garden.( I can't wait to see it all done). Joey had al ot of fun running around with dad on the trencher. I think his most favorite part is playing in the trenches. I think he may loose some toys in there. I can barley see the top of his head running around this maze. In Ca it has been raining alot and when it gets dry enough to start working out here it rains again! It is a blessing, but we have a lot of work to do.

Kristen had a slumber party today and on the way there (30 min. drive) we saw a plane dusting a orchard. The plane flew right along our car. It was a little scary ,but I sure wish I could have gotten a picture of it. Joey said," Woe! that plane is big". The orchard was in full bloom. I think that they are almond trees. they had a pale pink blossom. I will have to get some pictures of the trees around here. They are so pretty this time of the year.

Our Sweet Little Rosie

We lost our sweet little Rosie on Sunday. She got hit by a car and we found her in the morning. It's so hard to tell the kids ,thats when being a parent is not fun. The girls wrote her a little letter to put with her in her grave. Joey soooo did not understand and he is still asking about it today. We will miss Rosie she was a very sweet dog. She loved to hunt the little cotton tells that we have running around here. She would catch one every once in a while. Goodbye Rosie.

Something Adults Would Never Do???

This is my children standing in line to paint :) ( Grandma is holding the paint can)I do not like to paint so you wouldn't catch me in this line. The kids had fun and got paint all over themselves!

My mom and dad came up this week to get started on there new home at our place. We call it the cottage. It sounds cute. This is a modular building that my husband salvaged from a job we did. We will be adding a bathroom and bedroom and my parents are installing a kitchen from Ikea. I'm excited to see it installed. They worked very hard this week and it was fun to have them around.

Jenna is Nine!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Jenna. I can't believe that she is already nine. How fast she has grown into such a beautiful, kind, and funny little lady. She is here with Rosie her chawinnie. Jenna is our middle child and full of energy. She loves to play with her Barbies, read books and her new hobbie sewing. She has asked her savior Jesus Christ into her heart and lives to do her best to serve him. We are so proud of her and love her very much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNA!

Cute Valentine's Swag

My daughter Kristen and I had an afternoon to spend together. We decided to do a craft and do some Valentine decorating. We made this cute swag and it was cheap and fun. The hearts are made out of salt dough. 1/2 cup salt * 1/2 cup warm water * 1 cup flour * food color of your choice * cookie cutter * make holes for hanging and bake at 250 for 2 hours. We used twine to string them on and some fabric I had for the bows. They turned out so cute she made one for Grandma, Auntie Hope, and Mema. It was a fun time.

The Treasure is the Rainbow

Kristen and I saw this beautiful rainbow outside the kitchen window. She excitedly said lets find the treasure at the end of the rainbow!  I said I would rather be under the rainbow it is the treasure. It's God's promise to us! I love those moments the Lord gives us with our kids.
