Watering the Garden and Working on My Sunburn

The garden is growing, it is so much fun to spend time out here. The birds flying over head chirping a little song. The butterflies fluttering through the rows. A ladybug making itself at home here. The water filling up the rows so the garden can get a much needed drink . Joey and Dad on the tractor discing the vineyard and being chased by black birds swooping down to catch any morsels the disc might throw up. The girls racing by on their bikes the wind blowing through their long hair.  Jack our dog on a rabbit hunt and I' m thinking about what sounds good for dinner and that I should get out of the sun that is working on my sunburn. I never thought that life could be so great! Thank you Lord for fullfiling the desire of my heart!

Sharing My Sisters Backyard Garden

We spent Mother's Day at my sisters house and got to sit out and enjoy their garden. They put a lot of work into it this year and have already harvested some potatos, lettuce, and some yummy juicy strawberries. My BIL Jonny and my Dad built this chicken coop and it is super cute! They just need to attach a run and then it will be ready for the chicks they have growing under the heat lamp in their garage. These chickens will be very loved egg laying pets. My niece Abby can tell you everything there is to know about these chickens. She has done her homework. They have Silkies that we like to call the poodles of the chicken world, they are so cute. If you have never seen one please look it up on line.  They have a total of seven chicks all different types. I hope you enjoy the pictures of their garden and have a blessed day.

We Are Planted ! My First Garden

I'm so excited! We worked so hard to get this garden planted. I love it so much but let me tell you, it was a lot more work than I ever thought it would be. My parents spent three days up here working to get it planted and we still have a little more to do. What do we have planted?

Tomatoes  (lots of different kind) * Squash * Pole beans * bush beans * Peppers * Spinach * Cantalope * Watermelon * Yellow Watermellon? * Turnips * Potatos Red, White, Russet * Radishes * Eggplant * Oakra * Cucumbers * Corn * Blackberries * Garlic * ect....

We also planted two Apple trees * Cherry tree * Plum tree * Pear tree * Nectarine tree *

I'm excited! Here are some pictures of our garden. I can't wait for it to fill in! It will be so beautiful! We spend a lot of time out here. Last night the girls and I discovered some of the plants poking out of the dirt we jumped up and down and shouted we have corn!!! Never thought that would thrill me like it did! I mean, it's not like we won a million dollars but it sure did feel like it!
