Got Freezer Meals?

This past week there was not a lot of cooking going on in my house. My girls did make some spaghetti and warmed up some soup, but there was no real meal for my family to enjoy while I was sick in bed. I never get sick and for a whole week that is very unlikely to happen again I hope, but if it does I want to be better prepared.

So do you have a freezer meal that you can share?

You can leave it in my comments or share a link to your blog. I think this will be fun and something we can all use! Hope to hear from you.

I am Happy,

Sarah

  1. I have never really done freezer meals before. Once I did make two lasagnas and put one in the freezer but it didn't stay there very long!

  2. I usually keep several meals or parts of meals in the freezer. Some of the things that I try to have on hand are meatloaf, sphagetti sauce, dried beans cooked and seasoned, ground beef (some plain and some seasoned for tacos/burritos), turkey rice soup, mashed potatoes, broccoli rice casserole, lasagna, taco soup, chili, meatballs, bar-b-que chicken chunks (deboned breast cut into pieces and cooked with bar-b-que sauce), pancakes, muffins, and breakfast burritos.

  4. I can not think of any off hand only chili and soup. It seems like I read of some on that money Saving Mom website. I will be back to see what others have posted here and what their recipes are :) I need to make me some for my freezer as well.

  5. I have frozen a pork tenderloin that I cooked with spices and added BBQ sauce for quick BBQ. I usually grill extra chicken, steak, pork chops and freeze for a quick meal. I keep cooked frozen bacon on hand also.Chicken tetrazinni and sausage and rice casserole are other good ones. I also make up quiches, pies and cookies and freeze them.

  6. I do not have a freezer meal so to speak but I do have lots of things on hand that are easy to put together to make a meal. We have canned meat and veggies, fruits. It is easy to open cans and have a meal. I also have canned soups on hand. I hope this helps. I'm glad you are feeling better. God bless.
